Typical day schedule


A TYPICAL DAY SCHEDULE FOR A STUDENT ATTENDING THE SUMMER SINGING COURSE


9:15 am - 9:30 am

Pre-singing warm-up under the supervision of two Alexander technique teachers



9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Masterclass: 1/2 hour for a student and his/her pianist

Plenty of rooms for practice (with piano) will be available, as well as a "library", were documents (books, CDs, etc) could be consulted or borrowed, or even bought.



12:30 pm - 01:45 pm

Lunch prepared by a caterer of our choice. (Possibility of vegetarian/vegan meals, see registration form)



02:30 pm - 05:15 pm

Afternoons will be reserved for one-to-one tuition (by the half-hour) and for individual practice (a minimum of 9 teachers will be available) :

François Le Roux : interpretation (singer and pianist together)
Michèle Ledroit : vocal technique applied to the interpretation (singer alone or with pianist). Pianists wishing to study vocal technique are invited to mention it, they are welcome!
Noël Lee : piano (with the singer)
Jeff Cohen : piano (with the singer)
Jean-Claude Penchenat : stage work
Claudine Bensaïd : poetical and litterary work
Anne-Marie Lardeau : diction and technical practice of French language
Denise Firmin-Devine : Alexander technique
Laurence Schifrine : Alexander technique



During the summer singing course each student will be invited to :

- 2 recitals
- 2 receptions at the homes of members of the Association Francis Poulenc
- a private visit to Francis Poulenc's home "le Grand Coteau" in Noizay where the owner, Mrs Seringe, will welcome students. She is the niece of the composer and holds the rights to the composer's work.

The course will end with a closing recital by the students which is held in the church of Noizay and which could be recorded by France Musiques for further broadcasting.
